Nov 16, 2005: 251 Slides

I'm not sure why, but enough people have now asked me to make my Enterprise IA seminar slides available. All 251. Fine, it's here (8.6Mb PPT).

I've resisted making them public for a long time. Not because of some petty proprietary personality defect, but because they mean so little without verbal explanation. I only jump through around a small subset (50?) of them each time I teach the day-long seminar, depending on the audience and whether I've eaten my Wheaties that morning.

Anyway, they're now available; damn the Tuftes and download away!

PS We're considering these seminar stops for 2006: Sydney (confirmed for February 28), Austin, Toronto, Chicago, DC, and Seattle. Will know more in a couple months.

37 Signals, 43 Folders and 251 Slides...

You know Lou, I agree that the PPT docs are ususally quite useless with outverbal explanation. My presentation decks usually lack a ton of text--- I actually use photos and diagrams to ilustrate my points. That's where an audio recording coupled with the PPT can make quite a powerful combination.

Yeah, but that'd be one long recording (~8 hours)...

EIA podcast?

Cool beans. I love the various slides with subsets of the roadmap.

Very classy, Lou. Thanks for sharing this.
By the way, I just bought an iPod and plan to use it to display ppt slides. I'll let you know how it works, once' I've actually done it!
Hi from San Jose, on my way back to France tomorrow morning.

Oh no! I just read you'll be speaking in Sydney. I recently moved here from San Fran where I actually was able to attend Tuftes' presentation. It was great BTW.

But unfortunatelly at this time I cannot afford yours ... not that is not worth it, I would pay double.

But thanks for posting the presentation which I can totally understand why you did not post it before :)
