Apr 12, 2002: Web Site Analysis Tools

A friend asks:

Lou, do you suggest any Web site analysis tools, such as Watchfire, for folks who are a) embarking on a new site building exercise and/or b) trying to analyze the competition?

I'm a fan of WebCriteria, but frankly I haven't given it much thought. But it's an interesting topic; anyone have some suggestions?

Of course, I'm still looking for Macintosh advice...

I have only used the demo version, but Ebiz Insights (I can't remember who the company is) is quite a good product. It allows for graphical manipulation of stats from any time frame chosen, and you can drill quite deep.
