Leningrad?
Are You serious? But when and why?

Maksim Rossomachin, Russian Federation.

Comment: Lou (Mar 21, 2006)

I spent about three months in the USSR back in the summer of 1985 (just after Gorbachev came to power). I was a student with a program hosted at Leningrad State University (go LGU!) and got college credit for a fourth year of Russian. We also traveled to Moscow, the Baltics, the Ukraine, Armenia, and Georgia.

It was probably the most fun summer I've ever had, although my liver still won't forgive me...

Comment: Carolina (Mar 22, 2006)

Wow.
I've never imagined you've been in Chile. (Anyway, I'm glad to hear you liked it.)
So, When was that?

Carolina Sandoval, Chile.

Comment: Lou (Mar 24, 2006)

Hi Carolina, we had a wonderful time there in March 2003. We spent time at the beginning and end of the three weeks in Santiago, visiting with Javier and Pilar Velasco, and the rest of the time in Torres del Paine and Chiloe. I'd love to return some day!
