Seattle Location Info
Seattle Public Library's Central Library What better place to talk about information architecture than at an award winning library that combines accessibility and aesthetics? Seattle's new Central Library, designed by architect Rem Koolhaas, opened in May 2004 to wide acclaim. Check out the library's unique "book spiral" which addresses the ongoing problem of subject classification. Or take a break and explore the historic Pioneer Square neighborhood, walk by the ferry boat piers, or visit the flying salmon at Pike Place Market, a bustling farmer's market that has been operating for 99 years. Getting to Seattle
Fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, otherwise known as Sea-Tac. Airport Express buses, Metro Transit buses, and taxis connect the airport and downtown. Getting to the Central Library
