The Cafritz Conference Center is a new, state-of-the-art facility on the campus of George Washington University. You'll find budget-friendly dining and shopping nearby, or take a short cab ride to historic Georgetown, a neighborhood that combines Colonial-era architecture and a bustling nightlife. Take a stroll through Rock Creek Park (pausing to take in views of the Potomac River), or enjoy a performance at the nearby Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

  • By Subway: The closest Metro stop is Foggy Bottom‹GWU on the Blue/Orange Line.
  • By Car: University parking garages are available on H Street, between 21st and 22nd Streets, and on I Street, between 23rd and 22nd Streets.
Getting Around DC

The Metro website offers bus and train schedules, and a trip planner. Taxis are also generally easy to flag in downtown DC.


Nearby hotels (all located within walking distance) include The George Washington University Inn, One Washington Circle Hotel, Hotel Lombardy, State Plaza Hotel, and the Washington Suites Hotel. Capitol Reservations offers discounted rates for hotels throughout the city.


Continental breakfast will be provided from 8-9am. Snacks for the two coffee breaks are included. There are many restaurant choices for lunch nearby; a list of local restaurants and addresses will be provided at the seminar.
